Wild mushrooms. Wild porcini, or cep, mushrooms (Boletus edulis) picked in the Garfagnana region of Tuscany. In the autumn these mushrooms are found in the chestnut woods on the lower slopes of the Apuan Alps. With their distinctive size, shape and colour they are considered relatively safe to pick as they are easily identified.
