Caption

Ecuadorian salamander (Bolitoglossa equatoriana) staring intently as it crawls through moss in the understory of tropical rainforest. The salamander has large forward-facing eyes, giving it the good depth perception necessary to catch prey with its long sticky tongue. Filmed in Orellana province, Ecuador.
