Skeletal muscle vascularization, light micrograph. The skeletal muscle is one of the highly vascularized tissues of the body. This is a cross sectioned muscle from an experimental animal, fixed by vascular perfusion. The skeletal muscle fibres are surrounded by many blood capillaries which appear dilated by the perfusion procedure. Semithin resin section 0.5 micrometres thick stained with toluidine blue.
