Dutch 16th century oil painting panel entitled 'The Seven Works of Mercy' showing charity been given to the needy in a city. This panel is part of a piece made of seven panels in total. Together, they show works of mercy being carried out. Works of mercy are practices in Christianity that aim to aid people with material and physical needs. Painted by the Master of Alkmaar in 1504.
