A Zemba woman, also called OvaZemba, from the Kunene region of Namibia, sieving millet grains using traditional hand methods. Millet, also called Sorghum or Milo, is an important crop worldwide, which is used for fodder, grain, sorghum molasses and to produce alcoholic beverages. Most varieties are drought and heat tolerant and as a result play an important role in providing food for people who reside in arid regions. Millet is naturally gluten-free.
