The Himba women are wearing their traditional clothing and their partially clothed bodies are covered with ochre. The Himba are a pastoral and nomadic people of northern Namibia who are closely related to the Herero people. The Himba speak OtjiHimba a variation of the Herero language. They tend herds of goats and cattle in the arid semi-desert environment, living in extended families in homesteads. Filmed near Opuwo, Kunene region, Northern Namibia.
