Animation of a flight through the sporangia of Mucor mould. Mucor is a common mould found in soil and on plants, and is one of the most common moulds found on rotting fruit and vegetables. It is formed of a branching mycelium that absorbs nutrients from decaying matter, and it develops tall sporangiophores tipped with spherical spore-bearing sporangia.
