Sailfin snapper spawning aggregation over a reef edge. The sailfin snapper (Symphorichthys spilurus) is a reef fish found across the eastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean. It is usually solitary but forms huge schools on reef edges to spawn. It forms spawning aggregations on only a few days a year, typically from March to June on the days before a New Moon. Filmed at Peleliu, Palau, on 6th April 2021.
