Caption

Pterosaur flying reptiles, illustration. Pterosaurs were carnivorous predators, feeding on fish and other small animals. They flew with wings formed from a membranous structure stretched between the ankles and a lengthened finger. These pterosaurs are Ctenochasma (right) and Gnathosaurus (left). Both lived in what is now Europe during the Late Jurassic Period (163-145 million years ago).
