Caption

Animation of a herd of Parasaurolophus walkeri dinosaurs walking through a forest of tree ferns. P. walkeri was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived in what is now North America in the late Cretaceous period, from around 76-73 million years ago. It is notable for its large tubular cranial crest. The function of the crest is unknown, although it may have acted to aid thermoregulation or provide resonance to the call.
