Soviet cosmonaut Bykovsky training with an oxygen mask while strapped into a pilot's seat. Soviet cosmonaut Valery Bykovsky (born 1934) was one of the first men to be launched into space. He flew the solo Vostok 5 mission from 14-19 June 1963, orbiting the Earth 82 times. Photographed in Russia, in February 1963.
