Negatively stained Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Pseudomonas are a genus of small, motile, gram-negative bacilli with polar flagella. Most are saprophytic, living in soil and decomposing organic matter. P. aeruginosa is sometimes pathogenic for man, causing urinary tract infections or otitis externa. TEM Magnification=x8,250 at 70mm. PR 3E6708.
