A freshwater Dinoflagellate (Ceratium hirundinella), Dinophyta. This flagellated protist has an armour-plated cellulose cell wall and two flagella (undulipodia) used for locomotion. One flagellum runs as a spiral through a groove around the organism and the other projects outwards. Darkfield, LM X160.
