Caption

Thea ear and its communication with the rhinopharynx through the Eustachian tube. Representation of the external ear (external auditory meatus) in a 6-year-old child, the middle ear between the eardrum and the cochlea (cavity containing the ossicles), the internal ear containing the cochlea. From the middle ear leaves the Eustachian tube that leads into the pharynx. The nasal secretions can pull up through this orifice and provoke otites in the middle ear, frequent in a child.
