Yellow Bush Lupine, (Lupinus arboreus), growing atop the sand dunes of the northern California coast, just south of Trinidad, May 2008. This is a pest species introduced from central and southern California for dune stabilization. It has overgrown and displaced native plant species and hybridizes with native lupines.
