Ultrathin section of Streptococcus faecalls, a gram-positive, nonmotile, elipsoidal bacterium, which usually occurs in short chains. S. faecalis is a normal component of the alimentary tract though it can produce urinary tract infection, and is sometimes present in ulcerative skin lesions and wounds. PR 3E6741.
