Caption

Trout fry hatching from an egg. The empty egg casing is at left, and the newly hatched fry is at right, carrying the egg sac that contains nutrients. This fry formed from an embryo, and will eventually develop into an adult fish. Trout is a term used for several species of mostly freshwater fish, closely related to salmon.
