Fly agaric mushroom (Amanita muscaria). This is a young specimen, white spots are yet to develop on its cap. The cap of this poisonous fungus contains the powerful hallucinogenic compounds ibotenic acid and muscimol. It was used by Siberian shaman to induce trances. This mushroom is so-called because in medieval times it was mixed with milk and used to stupefy flies. Photographed in October on Dartmoor, UK.
