Macrophotograph of a five day old growth of the bread mould (fungus) Rhizopus sp. The slices of bread are overgrown with a network of vegetative hyphae (not visible) and the fruiting bodies (brown), or sporangia, containing spores. Millions of spores are constantly released and are able to germinate into a new fungus.
