Mural of an Egyptian soul, Alexandria, Egypt. This mural shows the soul (Ba) of the deceased perched on a papyrus plant. The mural dates from the Hellenistic (Ptolemaic) period, which ranged from 305-30 BC. Photographed in the Graeco-Roman Museum.
