Human cheek cell, light micrograph. Smear of a human cheek cell stained with methylene blue. The cell nucleus is the round object at centre. Bacteria (blue dots) are also seen. Cheek cells are much larger than typical bacteria, with bacteria being around 50 times smaller. Magnification: x1350 when printed at 10 centimetres across.
