Great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus) mating display. This display is known as the 'weed dance'. This bird is found on waters throughout most of Europe and Asia. It feeds on fish in lakes and rivers, diving from the water's surface to catch its prey. There are usually two eggs, and the chicks are cared for by both parents. Photographed in Surrey, UK.
