Caption

Grape mealybugs. Macrophotograph of a colony of grape mealybugs (Pseudococcus maritimus) feeding on a grape. These insects are an important pest of several fruit plants, including the grapevine (Vitis vinifera), as seen here. Nymphs and adults feed on fruit and other plant tissue, causing damage similar to that produced by aphids. Magnification: x1 at 35mm size.
