USS-G1 submarine. Historical image of the first US Navy submarine to be named 'Seal'. This ship, also known as the SS-19_1/2), was built for the US Navy by the American engineer Simon Lake (1866-1945). She was the lead ship of her class and served from October 1912 to march 1920.
