Soviet spaceflight museum. People standing next to a model of a rocket on the opening day of the world's first spaceflight museum. The museum is the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, located in Kaluga, Russia. It is named after the pioneering Russian spaceflight theorist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857-1935). The museum opened on 3 October 1967.
