Ensisheim. Historical artwork by the Swiss-German engraver Matthaus Merian (1593-1650), showing the city of Eisisheim, France, as it looked in 1644. In 1492 a 113kg meteorite impacted close to Ensisheim's city wall, landing on the green between the two tree rows (right), close to the two men walking to the city gate.
