Ethiopian school. Children being taught in a classroom at a school in a rural mountainous area of Ethiopia. Increasing population in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa as a whole has led to rising pressures on natural resources. In mountainous areas like this, this includes clearing forests for farming, causing increased soil erosion in the rainy season, when deep ravines are formed on the mountainsides. If not halted, this will render the area an uninhabitable desert. Photographed in the area around Midagdo Valley and Taganey Mountain, Ethiopia.
