Fossil leaves of Glossopteris browniana. This leaf, which dates to the Permian period (between 299 to 251 million years ago), belongs to an extinct order of seed ferns. Glossopteris fossils were one of the original pieces of evidence given to support the theory of continental drift. Specimen from Dunedoo, New South Wales, Australia.
