Ramage telescope, at the Royal Greenwich Observatory, London, England. This telescope was made by the Scottish instrument maker John Ramage (1783-1835). Observations were made from the platform at the front, looking down the tube at the mirror. This artwork is from 'An Introduction to Practical Astronomy', published by William Pearson in several volumes between 1824 and 1829.
