Korea. Regional mosaic showing the peninsula of North and South Korea in Asia. These countries are divided at the 38th parallel, at the outlet of the Hangang river (lower centre). This image is made of dozens of images acquired by NOAA weather satellites from orbits some 820 km above Earth. Each frame has a resolution of one kilometre. The mosaic of frames was combined with a high- resolution digital elevation model. To emphasize relief features, elevation was stretched by a factor of two and simulated sunlight added.Restrictions:.
