Parts of other south-eastern European countries are at top left. The Black Sea (partially seen at top right) is connected to the Sea of Marmara (upper right) by the Bosphorus Strait that separates European Turkey from Asian Turkey. The Dardanelles connects the Sea of Marmara to the Aegean Sea.
