Caption

Morocco, satellite image. North is at top. Morocco is the most north westerly country in Africa. It borders Western Sahara to the southwest and Algeria to the southeast. Much of Morocco is covered by the Sahara Desert, which is separated from the coastal regions by the High Atlas Mountains (centre). Morocco is separated from Spain and mainland Europe by the Straits of Gibraltar in the northeast. Morocco's capital city Rabat and it's largest city Casablanca are situated on the Atlantic coast, southwest of the Straits of Gibraltar.
