South Africa, satellite image. North is at top. South Africa is the most southerly country in Africa. It is bordered by Namibia in the northwest, Botswana and Zimbabwe in the north and Mozambique and Swaziland in the east. Lying within South Africa is the enclave of Lesotho. This country is completely landlocked and surrounded by South Africa on all sides. Cape Town is the country's legislative capital and is located on the south west coast. The southern tip of South Africa marks the convergence of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
