Mountain cloud forming over a coastal mountain. This cloud is formed due to moist sea air being forced to high altitude when it meets the mountain. Water vapour condenses in the cold temperatures and forms orographic cloud. The resulting rain supports life in this otherwise barren region. Photographed in summer in the North East Greenland National Park, Greenland.
