Caption

Sunlit clouds from space. The glow of the sunlight is seen on clouds over the ocean. The curved limb of the Earth (top right) fades into the blackness of space. The terminator (the line dividing night from day) runs down centre. Photographed from the International Space Station (ISS) on 17 June 2001, as it orbited 391 kilometres above the dawn over the ocean off southern Australia.
