Melt water on a glacier. Aerial view of melt water in deep crevasses on the surface of a glacier. This melt water is formed from melted ice. The motion of the glacier over its bed intensifies crevassing on the surface of the glacier and creates deep trenches. Melt water temporarily collects in these crevasses but soon drains away. Photographed on the Bering Glacier, Alaska, USA.
