Sakhalin coastline. Infrared satellite image of the northern coastline of the Russian island, Sakhalin. North is at top. Water is black, vegetation is red and urban areas are white/pale blue. The settlement of Moskal'vo is at centre, with Okha at upper right. The island lies in the Sea of Japan (upper left) and the Sea of Okhotsk (upper right). The data for this image were collected by the French SPOT 4 satellite on 25 July 1999.
