Chamarel coloured earths. These undulating mounds of earth have contrasting colours, including red, blue, green, purple and yellow. The colours, of which there are said to be seven, are thought to be due to the weathering of volcanic rocks. The Chamarel coloured earths are found on the island of Mauritius.
