Rock strata. Folded rock strata mainly consisting of the sedimentary rock limestone. The formerly- horizontal bands of the rock have been folded to form a dip, or syncline, by movements in the Earth's crust. Photographed near Cardigan in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Wales.
