Rauwacke sample. Rauwacke is a form of carbonate mineral formed through evaporation. The evaporation series goes from anhydrite to gypsum and then to Rauwacke. This rock should not be confused with Greywacke, which is formed from sandstones. This sample is from Gantrisch, Switzerland.
