Specimen of pyrite, the most widespread sulphide mineral (FeS2). It occurs in magnificent crystals world wide, notably Rio Tinto (Spain) & Colorado & Arizona (USA). It forms striated, cubic, octahedral or pyritohedral crystals & occurs in plutonic, volcanic, sedimentary & metamorphic rocks.
