Crystals of yellowish-green barite. Barite occurs in a variety of colours from colourless to yellow, green, red and black. It is the principal commercial ore of barium and is also used in the oil, paper and rubber industries. It is used in radiography for barium meals and enemas and is mixed with cement for use as radiation shielding. This specimen measures 30 x 14 cm and was found in Arafertil's Mine, Araxa, Brazil.
