An aggregate of bright yellow autunite crystals. Autunite (hydrated calcium uranium phosphate) is an important ore of uranium, the most widely used source of the element during the development of the atomic bomb in World War II. This specimen measures 5 x 4 cm and was found in Sao Pedro's Mine, Malacacheta, Brazil.
