Ammonite fossil. Fossilized ammonite of an unknown species. Ammonites are extinct cephalopods that lived between 380 and 65 million years ago. They lived in coastal waters and inland seas. Found in the Lower Lias of Monmouth Beach, Lyme Regis, UK.
