Gasosaurus. Computer enhanced image of a Gasosaurus constructus dinosaur fossil. Gasosaurus is thought to have been a carvivorous dinosaur (carnosaur) which lived during the middle of the Jurassic period (144-208 million years ago). It is thought to have been about 3.5 metres long. Like other carnosaurs, Gasosaurus walked on its two hind legs. The weight of its forward-leaning body was counterbalanced by its heavy tail. G. constructus is the only species in the genus, and the first skeleton was discovered in China in 1985.
