A robotic Allosaurus dinosaur forms part of a display at the Dallas Science Museum. The Allosaurus is one of a group of dinosaurs made by the California-based company Dinamation Inter- national and sent out in travelling displays to museums around the world. Each dinosaur is composed of a robotic skeleton covered by rigid fibre-glass plates, over which is laid a flexible skin of urethane foam. The creature's joints are operated by compressed air and the movements are controlled by computer.
