Ornithomimus dinosaur. Artwork of an Ornithomimus sp. dinosaur. This was a fast-running dinosaur which lived in what is now North America in the late Cretaceous period, between 75 and 65 million years ago. It reached between 3 and 4 metres in height. It is thought that it was omnivorous, feeding on leaves and branches with its long neck, and also catching small reptiles, mammals and flying insects.
