Dinosaur footprints. Tracks left by a dinosaur in rock. The three-toed shape of its foot is clearly seen. Footprints such as this were formed when a dinosaur left imprints in mud or sand, which was then baked dry by the Sun and filled with other material. As the overlying material was eroded, the prints were exposed again. Photographed in Namibia.
