Ceratosaurus dinosaur. Artwork of a Ceratosaurus dinosaur. This carnivorous theropod dinosaur lived between 150 and 135 million years ago, in the late Jurassic period. It was a bipedal predator, using its teeth and hind claws to bring down its prey. The four fingers of its forelegs distinguish it from other theropods like Allosaurus. It would have reached lengths of around 6 metres. Its horns may have been used in fights between males.
