Caption

Fossil dinosaur egg. Fossil objects, often dating back millions of years, are formed as rocks slowly form around objects buried in mud. Dinosaurs were a large group of reptiles that dominated life on the planet from 230 million years ago until about 65 million years ago. Like reptiles today, they mostly reproduced using eggs. Birds are often considered to be descendents of the dinosaurs. Fossil from the Natural History Museum of Lyon, France.
